A young gelding that I admired but had not seen for a while appeared recently in the field where Magic and I now graze. Raffie! He has changed. Last time I saw him he was so skinny and his hair was so odd. Now he is big and healthy looking, and I can even tell that he is an Arab. His tail is still broken, but this summer we will help him with the flies.
The reason he is in our field now is that his best friend finally came to the Sanctuary! Her name is Bo, her feet hurt, and she is gorgeous! As you know, I am not a big fan of mares (hello Sara!), but Bo is amazing. Even though she is not as large as some of the other mares, she is not afraid of me. Mostly the mares scatter when I walk by (which makes me happy – I just look at them and off they go). I am Thor! But Bo welcomes me. She is sweet and lovely and gentle. She is also a gray, like Magic – so beautiful. And Bo likes me! She and I have been grooming each other. Raffie is the best. He is happy for her to have other friends, like Hoover was happy when I made friends with Magic and Finn, and just seems happy to be with us all.
My feet feel good in my shoes, Magic is always with me, and I have a beautiful new friend in Bo. It feels like springtime at the Sanctuary!
I am Thor and I am an Equamore Horse.
